The President’s Society recognizes the generosity of individuals, corporations, and institutions that have given cumulative gifts of $5,000,000 or more.
The Founders’ Society
The Founders’ Society recognizes the generosity of individuals, corporations, and institutions that have given cumulative gifts between $1,000,000 and $4,999,999.
The John Quincy Adams Society
This society is named in honor of John Quincy Adams, an original member when we were founded in 1845. It recognizes the generosity of individuals who have made cumulative gifts of $500,000 to $999,999.
The Charles Ewer Society
The Charles Ewer Society is named in honor of our founding president, Charles Ewer, and recognizes the generosity of individuals who have made cumulative gifts of $100,000 to $499,999.
The Daniel Webster Society
The Daniel Webster Society, named after a prominent New England statesman and senator, and an early member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, recognizes the generosity of corporations and institutions with cumulative gifts of $100,000 to $999,999.
The Benjamin Franklin Society
The Benjamin Franklin Society recognizes the generosity of individuals who donated materials to our archives, including the R. Stanton Avery Collection, and made a gift of $10,000 or more to support its long-term care. In 1856, we participated in the construction of a statue in Boston commemorating Benjamin Franklin, who recounted his family history in his famous autobiography.
The Henry Bond Society
The Henry Bond Society recognizes those donors who have invested in the future of American Ancestors through their estate plans. It is named for Dr. Henry Bond, a preeminent genealogist known for his work on the history of Watertown, Massachusetts, and who left the New England Historic Genealogical Society its first bequest in 1859.
